Your autónomo income tax return, prepared and filed by an adviser
We prepare your modelo 100 from your books, credit what you already paid through modelo 130 and withholdings, go through it with you and file it in your name.
- · An adviser reviews every return, not automated software
- · Filed with the AEAT in your name
- · Fully online; in writing, in your language
Yes. If you were registered with RETA as self-employed at any point in the year, you must file the income tax return (modelo 100) however little you earned: the law sets no minimum. It is filed in the spring campaign of the following year, and your modelo 130 payments and the withholdings on your invoices are credited against it.

Frequently asked questions
I am self-employed and earned very little. Do I have to file a tax return?
Yes, if you were registered with RETA at any point in the year.
The Income Tax Act exempts people below certain income limits from filing, but it adds that anyone registered as self-employed with RETA at any time during the tax year must file in every case. It makes no difference whether the business lasted one month or made a loss.
When is it filed?
During the income tax campaign, in the spring of the following year.
The AEAT sets the campaign dates every year. The 2025 return was filed from 8 April to 30 June 2026. When you order, we tell you which documents we need and how much notice we need to file on time.
What happens to what I already paid with modelo 130?
It is credited in the annual return.
Your modelo 130 instalments and the withholdings your clients applied on your invoices are payments on account of the tax. The annual return works out the tax for the whole year and deducts them; depending on the result, you either pay the difference or get a refund.
Is the tax return included in the monthly autónomo service?
No: it is a separate service, ordered once a year.
The monthly service covers bookkeeping, the quarterly returns and the annual summaries. The income tax return is ordered separately. If we run your monthly service, we already hold your books and your modelo 130 returns and only ask for what is missing.
Which documents do you need?
Your books, your modelo 130 returns and proof of anything you want to deduct.
Your income and expense records for the year, the modelo 130 returns filed, withholding certificates (from your employer if you also work as an employee, and from your bank), your personal and family details (marital status, children, dependent parents, disability) and proof of deductions such as pension plan contributions or donations.
Can we file a joint return?
If you form a family unit, we compare both options.
The law lets members of a family unit choose each year to file jointly, and the choice does not bind later years. We work out the individual and the joint return and recommend whichever comes out better. If individual returns come out better, each return is ordered separately.
What if the return shows tax to pay?
We tell you the amount and how to pay it before filing.
Before filing we send you the result and the payment methods the AEAT offers. You make the payment yourself: we neither advance nor hold the money.
I live in Spain but I am a foreign national. Is this service for me?
Yes, if you are tax resident in Spain.
Modelo 100 is filed by tax residents of Spain, whatever their nationality. If you are not resident, your Spanish income falls under Non-Resident Income Tax, which is a different service. We work with you in writing in Spanish, English or Russian.
